Financial Accountant

Basic-Fit is growing at a rapid pace and our Finance department is undergoing a number of projects and changes, including process improvements, setting up new policies and procedures and the implementation of a Cloud ERP. This is what your assignment looks like

The Financial Accountant is part of the Financial Control team (15fte). A talented international team with quick-thinking financial professionals who produce high-quality reports while collaborating closely with the business.

The Financial Control team is constantly working to improve the process and the quality of the actual monthly figures. In this role, you will work together with the Financial Controller to maintain, process, and report general ledger transactions, ensuring that all business transactions are properly and timely recorded, and that the ledgers for all of our entities are complete, accurate and valid. Tasks also include month-end reporting, statutory reporting preparation, and assistance with external audits.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Preparing journal entries, accruals, deferrals and other entries across multiple (international) entities and ensure that they are recorded in an accurate and timely manner;
• Creating and reviewing reconciliations and lead schedules for all balances included in the balance sheet and relevant profit & loss accounts, and follow-up on any open or unreconciled items;
• Developing and implementing process improvements, documenting desktop procedures and processes to achieve efficiencies;
• Proactively pursuing business issues that impact the general ledger and evaluate the situation for acceptable solutions.
• Supporting on external audit requirements;
• Supporting management with special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests;
• Preparing reporting for the relevant authorities;
• Collaborate with Finance colleagues from Reporting & Tax, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Business Control and other departments within Basic-Fit.

We ask:

We are looking for a motivated self-starter, with a puzzle-solving and hands-on mindset. You have great time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and like to work in positive environment where you can develop your own skills and interests.

Furthermore, we're asking:

• Bachelor degree in Finance (HBO/WO);
• Relevant experience in a similar job (1-2 years);
• Advance MS Excel skills;
• Proactive & analytical mindset;
• Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
• Experience with IFRS and SAP (S4/HANA) is preferred;
• Available for 32-40 hours a week.
