Floor Manager

We are looking to hire an ambitious Floor Manager for our Restaurant and Late Night Bar in Dublin City Centre, to oversee our dining operations, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while collaborating closely with the kitchen team. Our venue is a high-volume food and beverage outlet and has a busy night time trade. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team that are looking to grow both food and beverage sales and inspire a great team of staff.

Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Floor Manager and looking for new challenges from a busy F&B venue. Need to have experience with online booking systems, and a passion for creating a positive dining experience, have a positive attitude, optimistic thinker, calm under pressure and prides themselves in their excellent problem-solving ability. You will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service, developing and leading a team of staff and help develop and inspire our company culture.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee all day-to-day front-of-house activities during opening and closing shifts, ensuring all procedures are followed for a smooth transition.

· Prepare the dining areas for service by ensuring staff is briefed, tables are set, and the dining area is clean and welcoming.

· Conduct final walkthroughs at the end of the shift to ensure cleanliness and proper closure of all operations.

· Staff Supervision

· Lead, motivate, and train floor staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, to deliver exceptional guest service.

· Collaboration and working closely with Kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders, special requests, and food quality.

· Assist in coordinating the flow of service between the kitchen and front-of-house to ensure timeliness in food delivery.

· Customer Service Excellence

· Engage with guests, promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints to ensure a positive dining experience.

· Monitor guest satisfaction and make necessary adjustments to improve service as needed.

· Online Booking System Oversight

· Manage reservations and guest seating through our online booking system, ensuring an efficient flow of guests into the dining area.

· Compliance and Safety

· Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and compliant environment.

· Train staff on safety protocols to minimize risks and enhance the overall guest experience.

Experience:

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Floor Manager or in a similar supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality industry.

· Proven experience with online booking systems (e.g., OpenTable, Res Diary, Colins) and reservation management.

Skills

· Strong leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and staff effectively.

· Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive demeanour.

Candidate Requirements

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role in Ireland

· Experience in a busy food and beverage environment

· Excellent I.T. Skills

· Excellent communication & organisational skills

· Must be available to work full time without restrictions or holding a Stamp 4 visa

· Speak English fluently

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From €33,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 – 45 per week
