Floor Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Floor Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a high-quality dining experience for our guests.

Duties

  • Supervise daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction.
  • Train and develop staff in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
  • Handle cash management and ensure accurate POS transactions using Aloha or Micros systems.
  • Oversee food handling practices to comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning to optimize restaurant performance.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes for new team members.
  • Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure quality food production and presentation.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance the dining experience.
  • Lead by example in maintaining a positive work environment and fostering teamwork.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and fine dining experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, cash handling, and budgeting principles.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
  • Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
  • Experience in hospitality management, culinary arts, or related fields is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
