Front Desk Receptionist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused team member to provide exceptional service to both our clients and their dogs. This role plays a key part in creating a warm, welcoming environment while ensuring a safe, organized, and positive experience for every guest. The ideal candidate has a genuine love for dogs, strong communication skills, and a commitment to helping retain existing clients while attracting new ones.

Availability must include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on care for dogs, including escorting them to designated rooms and yards
  • Perform intake body checks upon arrival and report any concerns
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with pet owners regarding their dog’s stay
  • Communicate effectively with back-of-house staff to ensure seamless care and operations
  • Assist kennel staff during downtime and support daily operations as needed
  • Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned by management
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting clients by name and maintaining a polite, professional demeanor at all times
  • Ensure all guest requests are handled promptly to support comfort, satisfaction, and safety
  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and no-shows in accordance with company policies
  • Schedule and maintain appointments using designated systems
  • Answer phones and emails professionally, routing inquiries as needed
  • Conduct facility tours and review pet profiles, waivers, and services with clients
  • Stay informed on current services, promotions, and pricing to effectively educate clients and maximize sales opportunities
  • Monitor and maintain inventory for reception and kennel-related supplies
  • Report maintenance or equipment issues promptly to management
  • Maintain organization of both electronic and physical files
  • Prepare necessary paperwork for upcoming shifts
  • Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and presentable at all times
  • Receive and organize deliveries
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to overall team success
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
  • Maintain knowledge of vaccination requirements, schedules, and standards

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience required (3–5 years preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
