Front Of House Team Member/Cashier

We are a busy NYC-based bagel shop that has just opened a new location in Ann Arbor, MI on the University of Michigan campus. We are looking for a full time, experienced front of house team members, who know how to work a POS cash register (Toast), expedite orders, and possibly make sandwiches and coffees. This is a great position for people who like to do a little bit of everything instead of the same job every day. Must be good with talking to customers and must have experience making cold sandwiches. Applicants with ServSafe License will be given priority, and get paid more!

This position earns $16.50/hour-$18/hour + Tips. If you do not have any restaurant experience we will not consider you.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Prepare food items according to restaurant standards while adhering to food safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the dining and kitchen areas.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service and timely order delivery.
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
