The Marketplace - Order Ops - Web Frontend Platform team powers the critical order related features of Shopee as a platform through innovation and technology. In our pursuit to shape the way buyers and sellers connect with each other, we engineer scalable, reliable and extensible systems that evolve with the dynamic e-commerce landscape. As we scale to the next engineering frontier for the global market, we continuously solve unique challenges such as multi-market architecture design, highly sustainable systems, and core functional capabilities for the department. Our tech leaders take responsibility for products, define engineering roadmaps, and work with cross-functional teams to achieve excellence in product performance and technical sustainability.

- Collaborate with various functional teams to enhance the web framework’s performance, covering the full lifecycle of web application development, including development, CI/CD, release, and monitoring.
- Design, develop, and maintain developer-friendly web development tools, including bundlers, linters, test runners, repository management, and other essential tools.
- Design, develop, and maintain the web framework, including Server-side Rendering and Micro Frontend architecture.
- Analyze and optimize the web framework's performance, improving code quality and efficiency.
- Produce accessible code and documentation for a well-defined audience.
- Bring new ideas and technologies into our platform, innovate and iterate.
- Work closely with different business teams to deliver technical solutions and best practices.
- Collaborate with innovative and open-minded engineers across teams, fostering a diverse and inclusive culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on building user-friendly and responsive web applications.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in one or more modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with frontend build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, Babel, npm).
- Knowledge of frontend testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Jest, Enzyme, Playwright).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex frontend issues.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a drive to stay updated with the latest frontend trends and technologies.
