Fund Accountant

WHAT YOU WILL DO?

As a Fund Accountant (FA), you will be part of our Fund Services’ accounting team in Trustmoore’s Singapore office. You will be responsible for a portfolio of predominantly Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Venture Capital Fund structures, overseeing a wide range of administrative, financial and reporting responsibilities of our growing client portfolio of funds.

The FA is expected to continuously develop both personally as well as professionally and promote Trustmoore’s client centric operating model delivering added value to our Fund Services discipline and contribute to the further growth of the Singapore office.

Main responsibilities are:

• Work alongside the team and be a point of contact for a portfolio of fund and SPV clients, liaising with relevant external stakeholders on related matters;
• Client Relationship Management – maintain relationships with clients and contribute to client meetings;
• Fund accounting - process transactions, corporate actions, security pricing, reconciliation, fee calculations, prepare NAV reports in an accurate and timely manner, prepare relevant accounting schedules;
• Transfer agency - perform investor onboarding, prepare notices for capital calls, distributions, subscriptions and redemptions, conduct ongoing investor due diligence;
• Prepare GST and tax compliance fillings in collaboration with external advisors;
• Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with the relevant accounting standards (US GAAP/ IFRS/ SFRS);
• Manage the audit process and resolve queries to ensure that audits are completed on time and within budget;
• Prepare and execute client payments;
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of administrative records;
• Assist with regulatory reporting;
• Perform miscellaneous tasks appropriate to the role and business requirements.

HOW DO YOU FIT IN THE TEAM?

As a FA, you work closely with team members of various levels and are capable of managing ad-hoc activities, intensive client contacts and your daily work. In this position, you need to prioritize what is important, have a hands-on and independent work mentality and be able to deal with deadlines. Having an organised working style is essential, since you are responsible for financial processes and reporting deadlines for a portfolio of clients and structures. You are proactive, know what you are capable of and possess good communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications for this profile:

• Residing in Singapore is a must;
• Team player mentality;
• Comfortable with client communication;
• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting or an equivalent;
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Fund Accountant;
• Experience with PFS-Paxus and FIS Private Capital Suite (formerly Investran) preferred;
• Knowledge of accounting principles;
• Knowledge of compliance framework;
• Chartered Accountant accreditation or equivalent is a plus;
• Fluent in English (both orally and in writing).
