The successful applicant will be a resident of the Rocky Mountain House area and work on a 5x2 schedule, reporting to our Red Deer branch.

Job Description:

Troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment in a service oriented gas compression environment
Responsible for the maintenance and overhaul work in the natural gas compression and EPG industry in the field.
Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs, maintenance and overhauls on natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, generators and attachments.
Interface with customers, products and sales support
Working with the supervisor on various tasks
Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
Various related duties as required

**Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement**

Qualifications:

Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification
Journeyperson Certification in Mechanic, Electrician, Millwright and Automotive may also be considered
Minimum of 5 years’ experience repairing CAT equipment
Previous field service experience and experience with natural gas engines and compressors
Gas Compression and Well Servicing experience will be preferred and recognized as an asset
Non-Caterpillar experience such as Waukesha, Ariel, Cummins etc is recognized as an asset
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Completion, or in the process of completing all Finning S- level courses
Self-motivated and computer literate
Experience with Costwatcher, DBS, SIS and Warranty Systems as well as a good understanding of Finning systems, would all be assets
Successful candidate will need to be customer orientated and motivated to meet the customer's expectations
Ability to work safely with minimal supervision

Note:

This position will work a Monday to Friday day shift
Shift work may be required in the future
Occasional out of town work is required
A recent driver’s abstract is required
The ability to wear a respirator and be fit tested is required
