General Labourers – Gib Fixing Support

Location: Christchurch and surrounding regions

Pay Rate: $24 – $30 per hour (based on experience and performance)

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed

Work Days: Monday to Saturday (weekend work available)

We are a busy and growing gib fixing business looking for a two motivated General Labourers to join our team at RD Fixers Limited and assist with on-site gib installation work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking hands-on experience in the building and construction industry. No prior experience or qualification is required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Loading, unloading, and moving construction materials on site
• Assisting gib fixers in lifting, positioning, and securing plasterboards
• Preparing and cleaning work areas, tools, and equipment
• Holding materials or tools for tradespeople during tasks
• Operating basic construction tools and equipment as directed
• Following health and safety protocols at all times
• Assisting with general site clean-up and waste removal
• Performing duties under supervision and as per the site manager’s instructions

Key Requirements:

• Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks
• Availability to travel and work in areas outside of Christchurch when required
• Punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

To meet the deadline of a project, applicants must be available for long hours, weekend work and for public holidays. All applicants must be physically fit and pass drug test. All aplicants must have NZ/AUS citizenship or valid work visa. Immediate start available.

Pay: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
