We are searching for an outgoing, hands-on, experienced General Manager to join the team at Elephant & Castle Bray If you are passionate and have previous management experience in a busy food & beverage venue, then we would love to hear from you!!

Applicant Requirements:

  • 2+ years previous restaurant manager experience essential
  • Experience within high-volume venue
  • Super involved and hands-on
  • Level-headed/sensible and consistent in nature, trustworthy and reliable
  • Ability to work flexibly under pressure with a good sense of humour
  • Approachable with excellent people skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of business management
  • Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities and maximise resources
  • Have a keen eye for detail
  • Be a natural leader
  • Passion for quality food & drink
  • Strong communicator
  • Ability to successfully manage a team
  • Ability to motivate, incentivise and train a very keen management team
  • Ability to lead by example with a positive mindset and sense of urgency
  • Strong people development skills essential
  • In depth understanding and experience of financials and reporting

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate the operation of the venue during scheduled shifts
  • Manage and motivate staff, upholding a constant level of staff productivity
  • Ongoing staff training in coffee, wine and food items
  • Respond to customer queries and complaints
  • High standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
  • Deliver superior guest services and ensure absolute customer satisfaction
  • Appraise personnel’s performance and provide feedback to keep them motivated and productive
  • Control costs and minimise waste
  • Nurture a positive working environment and lead by example
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Voids, discounts and account payments
  • Weekly Food & Beverage Stocktake and variance checks
  • Weekly Consumables Stocktake and variance checks
  • Consumables Ordering
  • Processing of delivered orders for accounts
  • Rostering including understanding and following wage budgets
