General Operative

As we continue to grow and expand our client base, we are currently seeking an experienced General Operative to join our team on a prominent client site in Kildare.

• Assist qualified trades (plumbers, fitters) with day‑to‑day tasks as required.

• Perform general site duties such as manual handling, housekeeping, and basic labouring.

• Prepare work areas, including setting up tools, equipment, and materials.

• Move, load, and secure materials and equipment around the site.

• Support installation works for mechanical and electrical systems under supervision.

• Carry out basic tasks such as cutting, drilling, fixing supports, and installing containment (e.g., trays, conduits) as directed.

• Assist with assembly or placement of mechanical components.

• Follow all site safety rules, permit-to-work systems, and company procedures.

• Use PPE correctly and ensure tools/equipment are used safely.

• Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.

• Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas.

• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, trades teams, and subcontractors.

• Communicate progress, issues, and material needs promptly.

• Support logistics, deliveries, and site set‑up activities.

• 
  Previous construction or semi-conductor experience.

• Safe Pass

• Manual Handling Certification

• Experience on M&E contracting sites.

• Flexibility to work overtime or weekend shifts when required by project schedules.
