Global Quality Management System Manager

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

This position is part of the Air Liquide Advanced Materials (ALAM) Business Unit which focuses on highly specialized molecules that support the semiconductor industry. Within a growing business, you will be enabled to signifi cantly add value to a diverse portfolio of products from a quality perspective. This position will be based in Asia. Travel to other ALAM facilities is expected to be ~25%.

The position:

This position is responsible for managing the Quality Management System for all ALAM manufacturing sites globally. This role serves as a corporate function owning and overseeing the global QMS implementation based on ISO9001 and aligns with World Business Line policies and procedures. This position is the key driver to improve the ALAM QMS to meet and exceed the semiconductor customer requirements and expectations, to transform ALAM systems to ensure Quality is incorporated into every process step and activity, and to promote quality culture and mindset to the entire organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Hold the overall ownership of the ALAM global Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure ALAM quality policies and procedures are in-place to meet the international standards, World Business Line procedures and customer requirements.
  • Analyze the current quality management system gaps and defi ne improvement plans.
  • Represent ALAM to collaborate with World Business Line Quality Function on QMS improvement and alignment.
  • Lead and drive the ALAM global QMS audit program.
  • Advocate quality culture and mindset, drive no tolerance to deviation behavior, promote quality tools, such as SPC, FMEA, control plan, 8D methodology, Cause & Eff ect diagram etc.
  • Collaborate with the Industrial Management Department to identify best practices.
  • Oversee the ALAM Quality documentation management.
  • Streamlines quality processes and promotes Continuous Improvement.
  • Identify quality training programs to relevant functions and personnels, create training materials if required.
  • Forms eff ective partnerships with leaders within various functions across ALAM organization to align on and achieve shared strategies and goals.
  • Travels to Air Liquide Advanced Materials sites to support implementation, consistency alignment and leveraging best practices.

Are you a MATCH?

Required qualifications and experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or higher, preferably in Quality or Chemical Engineering related. 10+ years of relevant working experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Min. 7 years of working experience in the high volume manufacturing environment in the semiconductor industry or semiconductor supply chain, preferably in MNC.
  • Min. 5 years in managing multisite Quality Management System related roles.
  • Strong knowledge and practice in driving Quality Management System improvement.
  • Certified ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 or VDA auditor.
  • Ability to communicate concisely and effectively in written and verbal formats with customers, stakeholders at multiple levels in the business

Preferred skills and experiences:

  • Experience in QMS set up and maintenance for multisites or a company.
  • Strong knowledge and practice in quality tools, such as SPC, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, 8D, 5 Whys analysis, Cause & Eff ect problem solving methodologies.
  • Six sigma green belt or black belt will be a plus.
  • Experience in using SAP, LIMS and SPC softwares (such as NWA, SPACE, JMP or Minitab) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in analytical techniques and equipment, such GC, FTIR, ICP-MS etc. is an advantage.
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams globally.
  • Experience in driving improvement projects and quality culture and mindset.
  • Strong English communication skills (both verbal and written). Able to communicate in other languages (Korean, Mandarin, Japanese) will be a plus.
  • Must be a team player and able to manage in a multicultural and diverse environment.
