You will be part of Novo Nordisk Oceania's Public Affairs team, reporting directly to the Head of Public Affairs. Our team is focused on driving positive change in healthcare policies and advocating for the needs of patients and society. We work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, collaborating closely with various stakeholders to achieve our goals. The position
As a Government Engagement Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will develop and implement strategies to enhance our engagement with government stakeholders, advocating for policies that support Novo Nordisk’s objectives to benefit patients and society at large.
As a Government Engagement Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will develop and implement strategies to enhance our engagement with government stakeholders, advocating for policies that support Novo Nordisk’s objectives to benefit patients and society at large.
- Create and execute a comprehensive government engagement strategy that aligns with Novo Nordisk’s objectives and public affairs strategy.
- Advocate for policies that support Novo Nordisk’s business objectives, particularly in the areas of diabetes, obesity, and chronic disease management.
- Monitor and analyse relevant legislation and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and threats to Novo Nordisk’s interests.
- Prepare and present reports on government engagement outcomes for senior management and create communication materials, including policy briefs and legislative summaries, to support advocacy.
- Plan and coordinate events to engage government stakeholders, while representing Novo Nordisk at industry events and meetings with officials to advocate for the company's policy objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government engagement, public affairs, or policy advocacy preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry but not essential.
- Demonstrated experience working with government officials, preferably having worked with a Minister or Member of Parliament at the state or federal level.
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
