Job Description
In this 23-month contract position, you will be a Graduate Intern Facilities Technician participating as part of a shift team working on the facilities systems on the Leixlip Campus as part of the Ireland Corporate Services (CS) group. The position is open to candidates who are about to complete their qualifications or are a recent graduate who have qualified within the last 2 years.
Full training and certification packages will be provided to enable you to complete the duties below:
Safely troubleshoot errors, performing repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of equipment to maintain manufacturing uptime.
Conducts preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance inspections and procedures.
Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment and troubleshooting skill required in resolving nonstandard problems.
Must be able to work in a team environment and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Support of continuous improvement and small equipment projects.
Process control through continuous use of quality monitoring systems

Qualifications
You must have either a Level 6 or Level 7 degree, qualified in the last 2 years, in an Engineering or Science discipline (which would include but not exclusively; Mechanical Eng., Mechatronics, Electronic Eng., Electrical Eng., Chemical Eng; Physics, Material Science, Advanced Manufacturing, Aircraft Systems, Industrial Automation, Process Technology, Manufacturing Eng; or completed an NFQ Level 6 Trades Apprenticeship in Mechanics, Mechanical Fitting, Plumbing, Electrical etc.)
Additional experience that would be an advantage:
Working knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment
Good computer skills
Ability to work well in diverse team environment.
Able to maintain detailed and accurate records.
Able to follow procedures.
Safe use and understand hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
