Fortiva Residential is thrilled to announce a new job opportunity within our dedicated team. We are actively seeking a motivated and diligent individual to join us as a Part-Time (20 h, either 3 days a week or 5 days a week) Groundskeeper. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining the aesthetics and safety of outdoor spaces. Please note, this job is not a remote position, and will require the candidate to be on-site at our facilities. The role of Groundskeeper is central to our operations, ensuring that all outdoor areas are kept clean, tidy, and presentable. Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and common areas to ensure they are operational, safe, and clean for residents, guests, and staff.
• Perform regular landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Engage in the planting and maintenance of trees, bushes, and flowers to enhance property aesthetics.
• Carry out seasonal groundskeeping activities, including leaf removal in the fall and snow removal in the winter (if applicable).
• Handle pressure washing of sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots to remove dirt, debris, and other hazards.
• Ensure proper disposal of trash and debris collected around the property.
• Perform routine inspections of the grounds to assess and report any damages or potential issues to management.
• Assist in setting up and dismantling outdoor furniture, decorations, or equipment as required by property events or weather conditions.
• Execute minor repairs and maintenance tasks on outdoor structures and facilities.
• Utilize and maintain tools and equipment used in groundskeeping safely and effectively.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations related to equipment use and outdoor work.

Requirements

• Proven experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a similar field preferred.
• Physical ability to handle demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, walking extensively, and managing tools.
• Capability to work in various weather conditions including heat, cold, or rain.
• Demonstrated reliability and responsibility in previous roles.
• Independent worker, capable of executing tasks without continuous supervision.
• Trustworthy individual with a clean background.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and cleanliness.
• Basic understanding of operating maintenance equipment related to groundskeeping (lawn mowers, leaf blowers, pressure washers, etc.).
• Effective communication skills to report back to management and coordinate with other team members.
