About the role

Maker and Made is an Australian-inspired brunch with Filipino sensilbilities in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, is seeking an exceptional Head Barista to join our talented team. As Head Barista, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our coffee bar, ensuring exceptional customer service and the consistent delivery of high-quality beverages. This full-time position offers the opportunity to showcase your passion for specialty coffee and your expertise in barista craft.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and train baristas, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
• Develop and implement coffee brewing and preparation standards to ensure consistently exceptional coffee drinks
• Oversee inventory management, equipment maintenance, and workflow optimisation to maximise efficiency
• Provide exceptional customer service, offering product knowledge and recommendations to enhance the customer experience
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement new menu items, promotions, and initiatives
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
• Actively participate in industry events, tastings, and competitions to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a barista, with a deep understanding of coffee roasting, brewing, and tasting
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and train a team of baristas
• Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to provide exceptional and personalized experiences
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges and implement solutions
• Passion for specialty coffee and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment
• Familiarity with industry certifications is preferred

Pay: Up to Php35,000.00 per month
