Head Of Ai Lab

Role Overview:

As Head of AI Lab, you will define and lead the artificial intelligence strategy across Infigroup and its portfolio of ventures. This role sits at the intersection of technology, strategy, and execution — building the frameworks, tools, and capabilities that enable our ventures and internal operations to operate smarter, faster, and at scale.

You will be responsible for shaping Infigroup’s group-wide AI roadmap — identifying high-impact use cases, guiding venture integrations, and developing repeatable systems that unlock efficiency and innovation. From product design and automation to data infrastructure and model deployment, you’ll help each venture harness AI to drive measurable growth.

This is both a strategic leadership and hands-on innovation role: you’ll set direction, evaluate technologies, and build prototypes alongside venture teams, ensuring AI becomes a core competitive advantage across the Infigroup ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Strategy & Leadership

• Define and execute Infigroup’s overarching AI and data strategy across multiple ventures and markets.
• Translate strategic goals into clear AI adoption roadmaps for ventures in diverse sectors (e.g., logistics, SaaS, sustainability, e-commerce).
• Identify opportunities where AI can create disproportionate value — from automation and analytics to new AI-native business models.
• Evaluate and prioritize partnerships with AI platforms, vendors, and research institutions.

B. Systems Development & Implementation

• Oversee development of shared AI infrastructure, APIs, and data pipelines that ventures can plug into.
• Lead proof-of-concept projects and pilots to test AI applications across ventures.
• Build scalable frameworks for data collection, processing, and model deployment.
• Ensure compliance with emerging data governance, privacy, and ethical-AI standards.

C. Venture Enablement & Collaboration

• Act as an internal consultant to venture founders and product teams — helping them integrate AI into their products and workflows.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing to drive AI-powered marketing, analytics, and customer insights.
• Partner with Engineering and Product leads to embed AI into core operational and customer-facing systems.
• Share best practices, case studies, and reusable AI components across the portfolio.

D. Capability Building

• Develop internal training programs to upskill teams in prompt engineering, AI tools, and automation workflows.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies, ensuring Infigroup remains at the forefront of applied AI innovation.

Key Requirements:

Core Competencies

• Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, including LLMs, NLP, computer vision, and automation workflows.
• Proficiency with modern AI tools, frameworks, and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, vector databases, etc).
• Strong background in data strategy, model deployment, and system integration.
• Ability to translate technical capabilities into business impact.

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in AI, data science, or applied machine learning, with at least 3 years in a leadership or cross-functional role.
• Track record of implementing AI solutions that drive measurable business results.
• Experience in startup, venture, or innovation-driven organizations preferred.
• Background in engineering, computer science, or related field (Master’s or PhD a plus).
• Strong understanding of performance metrics and marketing technology platforms.
