The head of engineer is a senior technical leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on expertise in digital and technology development. This role not only guides and mentors Engineers but actively contributes to designing, building, and deploying technology and digital systems. The head of Engineer collaborates closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to identify high-impact opportunities, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture and compliance standards. The position owns and develops engineering factory behind digital and emerging technology enabling DLL transformation
Day to Day
Build up engineering and technology arm of digital organization
Provide leadership and technical guidance to Engineers and related roles.
Drive the design, development, and deployment of solutions across business functions.
Align technology development with commercial objectives, establishing product operating model
Ensure all systems comply with enterprise architecture, ethical standards, regulatory requirements, information security standards and internal governance frameworks.
Mentor and develop talent, fostering a high-performing and innovative team culture.
Partnering up with HR to develop future workforce strategy and plan
Influence enterprise-wide technology decisions and contribute to strategy development.
Lead by example through hands-on design, coding, and deployment.
Establish best practices for CI/CD framework and lifecycle management, and production-grade systems.

Essentials
Bcs/ master’s in software development or computer science
10+ years of experience in technology and engineering roles, including leadership responsibilities.
Proven track record in designing and implementing digital solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
Experience in financial services or similar regulated industries is a plus.
Deep knowledge of technologies, including cloud, API, AI architecture
Strong understanding of compliance frameworks
Proficiency in software engineering principles, including CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
