Head Of General Insurance Claims & Audit

Head of General Insurance Claims & Audit

Uni-Vanguard is an insurance agency located in Lagro, Quezon City that is focused on non-life insurance products.

Our team is a fast growing team that has high growth plans this year wherein we will double our revenue this year compared to last year. And for this growth, we are looking for a Head of General Insurance Claims & Audit. This is a critical leadership pivot for the agency’s 2026 growth strategy. This role moves beyond traditional claims processing into Technical Governance.

This role will be responsible for building and protecting a "Managed Claims" ecosystem where speed (24-hour TAT) never compromises financial integrity. You are the final barrier against technical leakage, shop overcharging, and internal operational inefficiencies.

Detailed Key Responsibilities

A. Technical Governance & Multi-Line Authority

  • Portfolio Oversight: Act as the ultimate technical signatory for all Non-Life lines including Motor, Fire, Marine, Engineering, Casualty, and Bonds.
  • Complex Loss Adjustment: Lead the strategy for large-loss or complex claims, coordinating with independent adjusters or claims personnel to ensure the agency’s interests are protected.
  • Policy Interpretation: Serve as the internal consultant for the Sales team on complex policy wordings to ensure claims are "saleable" and valid from the start.

B. Forensic Audit & Leakage Control

  • Technical Cost Control: Perform rigorous line-item audits on motor repair estimates (labor/parts) and casualty loss evaluations.
  • Fraud Detection: Establish and maintain red-flag triggers to identify potential collusion between shops or internal staff.
  • Recovery Management: Oversee the subrogation process, ensuring that the agency aggressively pursues third-party recoveries to minimize net loss ratios.

C. Operational Leadership

  • Velocity Management: Manage the process, ensuring every claim moves through the assembly line (Intake → Verification → Audit → Approval) within 24 hours.
  • Productivity Enforcement: Implement "Daily Output Quotas." Directly manage and coach staff to overcome productivity bottlenecks (Time Theft/Laxity).
  • System Design: In collaboration with the COO, design and refine digital workflows and "cheat sheets" that standardize complex technical tasks for the support team.

D. Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Repair Network Management: Vet, accredit, and periodically audit the performance of accredited repair shops and service providers.
  • VIP Success Liaison: Take personal ownership of "Critical" or high-value client claims, ensuring a premium "white-glove" experience that drives 95%+ client retention.

The "A-Player" Profile: Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or Law. Professional designations (e.g., ANZIIF, CII, or LOMA) are a significant advantage.
  • Experience: 8–12 years in Non-Life Claims, with at least 3 years in a Managerial or Technical Audit capacity.
  • Technical Mastery: Superior knowledge of the Philippine Insurance Code and deep experience in Fire and Engineering claims is non-negotiable.
  • Leadership Wiring:
  • Assertiveness: High social dominance; comfortable with hard conversations and performance-based confrontation.
  • Integrity: A "Zero-Compromise" attitude toward ethics and policy compliance.
  • Resilience: Able to maintain high output under the pressure of a high volume.

Compensation & Growth Path

  • Base Salary: ₱65,000 – ₱90,000 (Based on experience)
  • With monthly allowance (if applicable)
  • Performance bonus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php65,000.00 - Php90,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
