Description
The Head of Programme Management is accountable for leading a diverse team of project managers and ensuring that best practice project management is adopted to enable the seamless delivery of multiple projects across a range of clients. We are looking for a talented people leader who has the relevant experience and can make a positive difference. This is a permanent role with the flexibility to work in a hybrid model, working remotely and collaborating with colleagues in our Dublin office and customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary focal point and owner for all programme related activities ensuring that programme management strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs
- Lead the team of project managers with the objective of delivering quality projects that meets client’s business objectives while maintaining quality, schedule and budget
- Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required
- Lead the evolution and integration of the Programme Management function to drive enhanced connection and operational efficiencies
- Coach and mentor the project management team to be high performing and motivated to do their best work
- Responsible for the career progression of the project team and will work to ensure that the team continue to develop and maintain their professional qualifications
- Implement strong governance and reporting for the programme management activities that meets the needs of internal stakeholders and clients requirements
- Ensure programme and project reviews are regular and effectively conducted to track quality of service, on-time delivery and control the delivery of programmes to schedule, budget and to the agreed quality level
- Provide thought leadership and solutions to lead the development of project scope and objectives, manage risks, issues, decisions and actions for all projects
- Communicate with key stakeholders on programme status, risks and issues in an appropriate and timely manner
- Ensure regular and timely communication between project team members
- Collaborate across the wider Codec organisation to foster excellent trusting relationships and devise attractive and innovative solutions, mitigating risk and driving efficiencies for our clients
- Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements
- Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them
- Working with the CFO to ensure no project over runs which negatively effect gross margins and ensuring efficient invoicing of milestones to facilitate cash flow
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
You have experience that will add immediate value in Codec:
- Educated to degree level (preferably Masters)
- 10+ years of successfully managing multiple large-scale projects with proven ability to successfully lead large scale projects with information technology and business process implications
- Preferably experience working with the Microsoft suite of business applications, including Dynamics CRM, Dynamics ERP, SharePoint and Office 365 based products
- Membership of an industry related Professional body would be advantageous
- Project Management qualification e.g. PRINCE2
And you will have skills and attributes that will fit well in Codec:
- Strong people leadership skills with proven experience of enabling and utilising diverse skills sets
- Proven ability to lead, engage with, influence and build trusting relationships with stakeholders
- Change management experience
- Track record of building strong relationships, working collaboratively with others to meet shared goals, live our OneCodec value and role model this for your team
- Comfortable with working independently when required and making decisions and working through complex problems
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and influence effectively with peer group, cross functional teams, clients and senior leadership
- Resilient and enjoys working in a dynamic, fast paced environment with proven experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines, maintaining control at critical points in a project
- Hold self and others accountable for results
