About the Role
The Head of RGM role is the critical enabler for facilitating and delivering the growth of Diageo Australia’s growth and pricing agenda. The Head of RGM is an essential role in providing strategic leadership and delivering against the Diageo Australia pricing agenda of balanced price and mix growth whilst sustainably growing our market share and delivering the strategy.
This role reports into the Commercial Director for Australia and will be involved in people leadership facilitating performance management, hiring, people development & growth.
Role Responsibilities
  • You will provide strategic leadership and delivering against the Diageo Australia pricing agenda of balanced price and mix growth whilst sustainably growing our market share and delivering the strategy.
  • You will develop and implement a strategy of value through headline pricing, trade/portfolio mix, identifying efficiencies in promotional spend alongside other RGM levers. To deliver against these metrics, will require leadership to build a RGM muscle across the business, and having an external mindset and strong customer orientation.
  • Ensures the pricing, promotion and wider RGM agenda (including Duty) and related processes run efficiently and accurately for Diageo and its Customers to optimize NSV and profitability and market share.
  • Identifies key market level RGM opportunities and cascades insights and recommendations to the broader business. Drives these recommendations through to implementation and routinely evaluate and optimize all RGM interventions.
  • Drives internal and external relationship building capabilities, processes, and tools in the RGM space to accelerate data insights into commercial action, including financial modelling and scenarios, preparation of sell in propositions, support of Commercial facing teams in external customer sell in and negotiation.
Role Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree Qualified
  • Minimum of 7 years of Business experience, preferably in the Beverage/Alcohol or Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
  • Strong expertise in P&L levers and management; both internal and customer P&L
  • Consistent track record in analytical or commercial sales/finance roles, commercial acumen is key.
  • Expertise in one or more of: pricing / promo analytics, tool development, syndicated data, trade terms optimization, promotional effectiveness, finance
  • Familiarity with multiple data sources ex. sales data, financial data, and consumer data
  • Prior Experience in managing a team demonstrating succession results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking; collaborating with brand/commercial excellence/account management teams and other key internal/external partners; effective in influencing and stakeholder management of a wide variety of partners.
