We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. This role involves working closely with patients, seniors, and individuals with disabilities to promote their well-being, comfort, and independence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisted living, patient care, and home care services, with a focus on delivering respectful and personalized care. Prior experience in nursing homes, hospice care, or dementia care is highly valued. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration following prescribed instructions and safety protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning patient areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Support patients with mobility challenges through safe lifting and transfer techniques
- Monitor health status by observing symptoms and reporting changes to healthcare professionals
- Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Assist with specialized care needs such as dementia or hospice care as required
- Support patients with disabilities by providing tailored assistance for daily living tasks
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, home care, or hospice care preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and working with people with disabilities is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Certification or training in medication administration is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
- Valid certification in CPR/First Aid preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification if necessary
