How you’ll contribute
As one of our Heavy Equipment AZ Delivery Drivers, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the movement of our Rental Equipment through:
- Safely operating the company AZ truck to deliver and pick-up equipment to and from customer sites as well as transfers between Stephenson’s stores and facilities within given time parameters.
- Ensuring the safe loading, securing, and unloading of various equipment including, but not limited to, heavy/light construction equipment, heating equipment, propane/fuel bottles, and general tools.
- Checking that equipment being picked-up is returned undamaged and with all associated accessories,
- Completing all paperwork and following procedures related to the delivery and pick-up of products on client sites
- Maintain all inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of our Rental Management computer system.
- Conducting yourself professionally while providing solutions-based customer service, explaining product features, and providing instructions for safe operating techniques
- Maintaining cleanliness of the company truck and completing all daily tasks and reports related to vehicle usage such as truck refueling, run sheets, inspection reports and maintenance.
- Completing a daily truck inspection at the start of the day and reporting any damage or maintenance requirements to your supervisor
- Immediately advise your supervisor of all customer complaints.
- Adhering to and promoting our Company Safety Policies and conducting safe work practices while on client sites, including wearing all required PPE.
- Checking in with your supervisor for additional duties as assigned including, but not limited to, pre-loading, equipment checks, etc.
- Minimum 21 years of age
- AZ Class Driver’s License with clean drivers abstract (valid within the last 90 days)
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required
- At least 1 year of AZ Class driving and delivery experience. Experience on 10-speed manual trucks is an asset.
- Experience with transporting construction equipment (General Tools, Generators, Air Compressors, Propane Cylinders, Industrial Heaters etc.), construction rentals, or similar industry experience is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of load securement using chains, binders, and ratchet straps is an asset.
- Moffet Forklift, Towing, or Sea Can transportation experience is a bonus
- Experience
- Willing to work in all types of weather, able to load/unload shipments, and lift up to 50 lbs. where required
- Superior customer service skills and able to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
