Purpose of Role

NFQ Level 7 module review and development, module lecturing, module writing and panel membership, subject matter expertise in business related topics such as data analytics, GenAI prompting skills, finance and accounting, business law, marketing, communications, academic skills, learning and development skills.

Description

This is a panel lecturer position. Lecturing hours are not guaranteed but assigned according to academic calendar and project requirements.

Programmatic Review Panel

Participation in IBAT’s programmatic/module review and development panel involves document review, module content, research and assessment development. Class lecturing positions may be available on newly developed or revised modules on QQI-validated programmes.

Additional Information

Module delivery will be paid in instalments, monthly in arrears, over the course of the academic semester. Payment of the module rate includes, but is not limited to, all preparation necessary to deliver lectures; preparation of examination papers and course assignments; updating Moodle as appropriate; answering student queries (by email and in class) and providing feedback in a timely fashion; verifying and moderating examination papers and class assessments; attending Programme and the Examination Boards, grading continuous assessments and final examinations for the module delivered during a semester, as well as any repeat exam papers or repeat course assignments that may be required.

Please note that all lecturing materials must be updated to reflect the revalidated programme and module descriptors, and you are required to develop lecturing materials to be made available to students on a weekly basis in each of your assigned modules.

Lecture sessions are 2.5 hours per week, per module, on campus for the entire duration of each 12-week semester. Other duties associated with this role such as grading may be carried out remotely. Delivery of our QQI programmes is fully face- to- face, and you are expected to deliver all lectures on-site in the College.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term, Specified-purpose

Pay: €30.00-€100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 30 per week
