Homecare Assistant Early Responder: West Cork €700 Per Week

Home and Away are recruiting Homecare Assistants Early Responders - in Macroom.

This is a full time position

We are now in a position to accept experienced Healthcare Assistants or Nurses from abroad who are living in the Macroom area and who are on a stamp 2 with at least 6 months remaining. We can assist with Work Permit Applications. A full drivers license and a car are essential.

The Early Responder Healthcare Assistant will will be the First to provide essential priority Homecare to patients who are residing at Home or due for discharge from Hospital/Nursing Home to Home. The Early Responder will also provide Homecare in urgent situations when care at Home is a priority. The Early Responder will be an integral part of the Homecare team and will report to the Care Co-ordinator.

This position is for qualified and experienced Healthcare Assistants as well as Nurses from abroad or Student Nurses, in addition to retired Nurses who would like to remain in a Healthcare role within their community.

Home and Away Care provides Priority Homecare to vulnerable people of all ages. Our HCAs provide assistance with Personal care, Hygiene care, medication prompting, companionship, mobility and transfers, and light house hold duties.

Ideal Candidates:

• a full clean driver's license and a car
• at least 1 year of formal work as a Healthcare Assistant in a Homecare, Hospital or Nursing home setting or equivalent or a retired Nurse or Nurse from abroad .
• a QQI level 5 qualification in Homecare Support in at least 2 modules - Care Skills and Care of the Elderly or working towards such a qualification, or equivalent or a Pre Nursing Student
• Compassionate, Reliable and Enthusiastic.
• available to work 35- 40 hours/week
• available to work 1:2 weekends

An up to date CV with your application, would be helpful, detailing your Qualifications in Healthcare or Homecare Support and your Experience in formal work in Healthcare or Homecare.

Home & Away Care is managed by a Medical and Nursing team.
