Job Summary
The Chaplain serves as a spiritual leader and counselor, providing support and guidance to individuals and families in various settings, including healthcare facilities, hospice care, and community organizations. This role involves offering bereavement support, conducting religious services, and facilitating spiritual growth through teaching and mentoring. The Chaplain will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients and their families.
Duties
- Provide bereavement support to individuals and families experiencing loss.
- Offer hospice care services, addressing the spiritual needs of patients in end-of-life situations.
- Conduct religious services, rituals, and ceremonies as requested by patients or their families.
- Engage in teaching opportunities to promote spiritual development within the community.
- Utilize public speaking and presentation skills to effectively communicate messages of hope and healing.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding volunteers and staff in spiritual care initiatives.
- Exhibit strong communication skills in one-on-one counseling sessions and group settings.
- Prepare written materials for educational purposes or spiritual guidance.
- Plan and coordinate events that foster community engagement and spiritual enrichment.
- Provide crisis intervention support during emergencies or critical situations.
- Offer Christian counseling to individuals seeking spiritual guidance aligned with their faith.
- Mentor individuals in their spiritual journeys, providing support for personal growth.
- Manage conflicts sensitively and effectively within the community or organizational context.
- Implement crisis management strategies to address urgent spiritual needs.
Qualifications
- Strong background in bereavement support, hospice care, or related fields is preferred.
- Proven experience in teaching, public speaking, and presentation skills.
- Excellent leadership capabilities with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficient in event planning with a track record of successful community engagement initiatives.
- Experience in crisis intervention techniques and conflict management strategies is essential.
- Familiarity with Christian counseling principles is highly desirable.
- Ability to mentor others while fostering a supportive environment for spiritual growth. This position requires a compassionate individual dedicated to serving others through spiritual care while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
