Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Hotel General Manager to oversee daily operations of a boutique hotel in Aeschi, focusing on rooms and breakfast service. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both German and English, and hold a valid hospitality management licence (Wirtepatent/Gastgewerbepatent) required to operate a hotel in the Canton of Bern.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day hotel operations, including room bookings, guest experience, and breakfast service
• Lead, train and schedule staff to ensure high service standards
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and legal requirements under Swiss hospitality regulations
• Handle budgeting, cost control, and supplier relationships
• Oversee guest feedback, problem resolution, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Proven experience in hotel or hospitality management
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Excellent communication in German (B2-C1) and English (B2+)
• Valid Swiss hospitality licence (Gastgewerbepatent/Wirtepatent) for the Canton of Bern
• Ability to work independently and make operational decisions

Pay: CHF6’000.00 - CHF9’000.00 per month
