Hr Generalist - Recruitment

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The HR Generalist - Recruitment is a pivotal role within the HR team, responsible for managing and enhancing the full-cycle recruitment process. This position will partner closely with hiring managers to identify talent needs, source and attract top candidates, and ensure a seamless hiring experience. The ideal candidate will also support broader HR initiatives and foster a positive and engaging workplace culture.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers.
  • Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to develop and implement strategic recruitment plans tailored to the firm’s current and future needs.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals, to attract high-caliber candidates.
  • Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for key and hard-to-fill positions within the consulting engineering field.
  • Conduct pre-employment checks such as reference checks, background verifications, and credential validations.
  • Partner with marketing teams to enhance employer branding initiatives, including crafting compelling job descriptions and promoting the company’s culture.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment metrics and provide regular reports on hiring progress, time-to-fill, and quality of hire.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to stay updated on industry trends and compensation standards.
  • Analyze recruitment data to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.

Onboarding & Orientation

  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding processes to ensure new hires have a positive and productive start.
  • Develop and deliver orientation materials and programs tailored to both technical and administrative employees.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements during onboarding.

HR Operations Support

  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback sessions.
  • Participate in employee engagement and retention initiatives to enhance job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

Technical Writing Support:

  • Assist in drafting and editing technical documents, proposals, and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to standardize technical content that adheres to company guidelines and industry standards.
  • Maintain a repository of technical documentation, ensuring version control, accessibility, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct research and review technical concepts to ensure accuracy and clarity in all written materials.
  • Flexibly undertake additional responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to organizational success.

EDUCATION, TECHNICAL CAPABILITY AND CAREER:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and various job boards; familiarity with social media recruiting tools and techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with candidates and stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records in ATS.
  • Ability to analyze recruitment data and metrics to improve sourcing and hiring practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and departments.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining quality standards.
