Human Resources Coordinator
Location: Melbourne
Employment type: Permanent full time
Salary: $104,107 plus 12% superannuation and salary packaging
What you'll do
Support the P&C team in managing all people & safety systems and operations of the People Team
Assist with recruitment efforts, including job posts, reviewing CV's, interview coordination, pre-hire documentation, and onboarding new employees
Support new hires through the onboarding journey
Maintain up to date employee records
Administer necessary employment checks as required
Prepare documents such as employee contracts, employee letters, position descriptions and others as needed
Assist with monitoring and completion of safety incidents by people leaders.
Assist with L&D requirements for employees
Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions as needed
Ensure high quality and accurate HR administration and record keeping, always maintaining confidentiality and privacy obligations
About the team
The People & Culture (P&C) team actively contributes to fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment. They provide comprehensive HR services including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, and compliance reporting. Additionally, they collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with the organisation's goals and values, offering guidance on employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and compliance. The team ensures adherence to employment laws, facilitates policy development, and maintains accurate HR records while promoting a supportive and compliant workplace culture.
Skills and Experiences:
About you
Prospective applicants require tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as HR Management, Law or Industrial Relations. Demonstrated experience in a professional HR capacity is essential (circa 1-2 years). High performing, career focussed HR candidates who have occupied an HR Assistant or HR Administrator role and who are now ready to progress to the next stage of their HR career are particularly encouraged to apply.
Other essential criteria include:
- Familiarity with the interpretation of Modern Awards and other industrial instruments
- Excellent HRIS and systems proficiency (exposure to iChris would be a distinct advantage)
- Excellent customer service and internal consulting skills
- Well developed interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed administration and word processing skills including in relation to informal offer/formal offer/contract drafting/variations of employment/secondments
- Experience with new starter onboarding activities including in relation to the probationary period
- Experience in managing HR data including the completion and reporting of relevant compliance checks.
Knowledge and experience with the application of SCHADS modern award terms would be a distinct advantage.
