Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Intern to join the Lighting Sector Finelite Team in Union City, CA. As a Human Resources Intern, you will provide support to the HR team in various administrative and operational functions. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to HR best practices, employee relations, recruitment, training and development, and other HR-related processes. This internship will allow you to develop essential skills for a successful career in Human Resources.
What Will You Do?
- Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Support the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing orientation materials and assisting with paperwork.
- Help maintain and update employee records in HR software and databases.
- Assist in organizing and scheduling employee training sessions and workshops.
- Prepare HR reports and presentations as needed.
- Respond to general HR inquiries and provide support to employees.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys, events, and wellness programs.
- Support HR team with administrative tasks, including filing, document management, and correspondence.
- Assist with performance management processes, including tracking performance reviews and providing feedback.
- Participate in special HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Minimum Education & Job Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) or other HR software is a plus.
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
