Job Title: IC Validation Test Technician

Location: Palo Alto, CA

About ChipIgnite:

ChipIgnite is Efabless’ innovative program designed to lower the barrier of entry for creating custom silicon. It provides a streamlined path for turning ideas into physical silicon, offering free chip design, manufacturing, and packaging for select projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electrical and functional testing of IC prototypes and PCBA assemblies using a variety of test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automated test equipment (ATE).
  • Set up and operate automated test equipment (ATE) to execute predefined test plans.
  • Analyze test results to identify potential defects and failures in the IC design.
  • Document test procedures, findings, and root cause analysis of failures.
  • Collaborate with design engineers and other team members to resolve identified issues and improve test methodologies.
  • Support final test and shipment of prototype IC parts to end-customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring proper handling and storage of test equipment and materials.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in IC testing or a related field.
  • Proficient in working with automated test equipment (ATE) and test software.
  • Strong understanding of digital electronics and semiconductor principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
