Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.



Position:

We are looking for IKL - Information and Data Specialist.

Within the Information, Knowledge and Games Learning (IKL) functional area, the Information and Data Coordinator will manage the development and implementation of projects closely related to information, data and knowledge management.

The Information and Data Coordinator will be reporting directly to the IKL Manager and will be responsible for activities such as:


1)
INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AREA

In collaboration with technology:

  • Ensuring an effective management and timely update of the assigned Microsoft SharePoint sites, including management of documents, share of contents and sites maintenance.
  • Developing and organizing the reference information library (documents management, multimedia objects, codes and acronyms) including helping on updating the internal library
  • Working collaboratively on files and documents to facilitate the update and share of these documents internally and with external partners.

In collaboration with other relevant teams:

  • Developing the archiving plan and policy (physical and digital archiving) and supporting on its implementation
  • Aligning with Administrative and Legal team when needed


2) DATA ANALYTICS

  • In collaboration with the IOC IKL team, define data and statistics that need to be collected and agree on transfer of knowledge process with the IOC and IPC
  • Establishing with the relevant FAs the internal flows of work on how to collect data and statistics
  • Ensuring the data capture project is effectively delivered


3) KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT

  • Supporting in the promotion of the various sources of information (internal library, IOC tools, etc.)
  • Supporting on the collection of documents within the OCOG, as required by the IOC and IPC
  • Working with MICO26 Media and Legal teams to ensure the consistent management and storage of files (including audiovisual), that appropriate metadata is retained, and that the media can be archived and transferred post-Games;

In collaboration with relevant FAs coordinate the planning and implementation of the Official Games Report.


4) Observers Programme

  • Supporting the smooth planning, delivery and operations of activities that are included in the “Observer Programme Milano Cortina 2026” (thereafter OBP) for the Olympic Winter Games and the “Future OCOGs Activities for Learning” (thereafter FOAL) Programme for the Paralympic Winter Games, as part of the IKL delivery team.


Requirements:

  • At least bachelor’s degree level in disciplines such as computer or information sciences, information technology and infrastructure, big data management, or another related area;
  • at least 3 years of professional experience acquired in positions relevant to the job description;
  • Very good knowledge and passion in the field of information and data management, project management and digital solutions
  • Very good command of English and Italian languages, both spoken and written;
  • Experience in working on projects with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills, show yourself as a proactive learner
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent technical skills using Microsoft tools (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Passion about the Olympic World and Sport Management field is desiderable
