We are hiring experienced beekeepers based in the Netherlands!
At Alvéole, we're building a network of independent beekeeper partners across cities.We need support from March 2026 across a number of cities in the Netherlands and we want to hear from passionate, skilled beekeepers who are interested in joining our community!

• Hoorn
• Zaandam
• Utrecht
• Houten
• Den Haag
• Rotterdam
• Hazeldonk

About the role

• Maintain honey beehives at client sites on a minimum three week “cycle” basis, carrying out a variety of tasks to support bee health throughout the beekeeping season. Tasks include:
• Installation,
• Routine maintenance,
• Data collection,
• Record-keeping,
• Pest / parasite control,
• Facilitating educational workshops.
• Driving regularly within your city including to client sites, yards, equipment and bee suppliers.
• Engage with clients and tenants about the services Alvéole offers (currently including beehives, wild beehomes and data collected through samples)

Requirements Essential

• Experience in beekeeping.
• Comfortable working at heights and willingness to work in buildings.
• Comfortable with public speaking or presenting to a group in English & Dutch.
• Interest in pollinators, beekeeping, urban greening and/or Environmental Social Governance.
• Valid driver’s license - more than 3 years and with a clean driving record.
• Your own vehicle.
• Comfortable driving in cities.
• Location to ship and receive and store beekeeping items
• Comfortable with the reality of beekeeping hazards (stings, heavy lifting, inclement weather, etc.)
• Heavy lifting (up to 30kg)
• Comfortable using online communications tools e.g. Gmail, Google Workspace, digital inspections and scheduling software
• Willingness and ability to work when our services need to be provided
• Being legally authorized to work in the country you are applying

• Customer service experience is an asset
