Novel Education Group is currently seeking a full-time infant teacher for a wonderful family in Delray, Florida, with two toddlers ages 1–2.5.
We’re looking for someone who is very enthusiastic, fun, wise, creative, and patient. This is a unique and unconventional opportunity for a teacher to become a part of community. We're not seeking a traditional teaching approach — instead, we value innovation, flexibility, and a personalized touch.
Option to live-in with separate accommodations (relocation available). We want to emphasize that this is an incredibly flexible and warm family who treats their entire staff like family. You should be a team player and comfortable with employees from all identities.
As experts in curriculum, design, we will provide all curriculum. Your primary responsibility will involve teaching the provided materials and customizing the curriculum to cater to the individual needs of the student, ensuring an enjoyable and captivating learning experience.
Position: Infant Teacher
Location: In-person at the student’s home in Delray, FL
Start Date: Mid October
Duration: The rest of the academic year with the option to continue
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (5 days a week)
- About 8 consecutive teaching hours per day, must be flexible
About the Role:
- Focus exclusively on the academic and developmental growth of the children — this is not a nanny role. The family has a full staff, including nannies, a cook, and a housekeeper.
- Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities that foster language, cognitive, and social development.
- Incorporate Spanish and/or French into the children’s learning (bilingual candidates strongly preferred).
- Collaborate with the family to support milestones and provide a stimulating, creative environment for early learning.
Ideal Candidate:
- Energetic, highly intelligent, creative, and resourceful in teaching toddlers.
- 4+ years of experience teaching or tutoring at the infantry level. Early childhood education background.
- Fluent or conversational in Spanish and/or French.
- Open to relocation (private living quarters are provided for the teacher on the property).
- Ability to commit to in-person instruction 5 days a week
- Professionalism is key — you will be working with a fully staffed home, so prior experience in similar settings is highly valued.
- Comfortable working in a private home setting with a family
- Instructional Adaptability: Comfortable teaching and assessing infants for milestones and monthly progress
- Able to design and adjust lesson plans on the spot
- Strong understanding of elementary developmental stages and learning milestones
- Willing to bring or suggest engaging learning materials
- Comfortable providing detailed feedback on student progress and maintaining regular communication with parents
- References available upon request; willing to undergo a background check
- Discreet, respectful, and maintains professional boundaries
Compensation & Lifestyle:
- Starting at $5,500/month, with on-property housing included if relocating.

Administrative Responsibilities:
- Update weekly student Personalized Calendars with lesson activities
- Provide monthly progress reports
The ideal candidate for this position should possess a college degree in an Education related field, demonstrating a well-rounded perspective and a global mindset. While prior teaching or tutoring experience is essential, a formal teaching certificate is not mandatory.
