Information And Governance Officer

About the role

As the Information and Governance Officer, you will support the ongoing development of TAFE Gippsland’s information and records management capability, ensuring systems and practices are compliant, effective and user friendly. Working within the Governance and Integrity team, you will contribute to key areas including the Protective Data Security Plan, Policy and Procedure Management System and records management frameworks.

You will partner with business areas to provide guidance, training and support, helping to embed best practice and meet legislative requirements. The role also involves maintaining and improving records management systems in line with Public Records Office Victoria standards, while delivering responsive, customer focused service and building strong stakeholder relationships.

About you

You are an experienced information and records management professional with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practice. You are confident working with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear advice and translating complex requirements into practical solutions.

With strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions focused mindset, you are comfortable managing competing priorities and identifying opportunities for improvement. You bring a collaborative, adaptable approach and are committed to maintaining the integrity, security and accessibility of organisational information.

Mandatory requirements

  • Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
  • Current Police Check (not older than 12 months old)
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • A 6-month probationary period applies to this role
