Position: Instrumentation and Controls Designer

We are currently seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Designer to join our esteemed client's team on a full-time, contract to permanent basis.

Job Summary:

As an Instrumentation and Controls Designer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining instrumentation systems and control systems for various projects. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure that the systems meet project requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop instrumentation and control systems for various projects, including but not limited to industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, and water treatment plants
  • Create detailed drawings, schematics, and diagrams using CAD software
  • Select appropriate instrumentation and control components based on project requirements and specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure that designs meet project objectives and are compliant with industry standards
  • Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project needs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with instrumentation and control systems
  • Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning of systems
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in instrumentation and control technology
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing instrumentation and control systems
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
