Who we are looking for
SSGA is seeking an intern for its Global Equity Beta Solutions research team. This team is responsible for research in passive equity portfolios constructions, ESG and portfolio implementations in Global markets. GEBS at SSGA manages more than 2.7 T USD worth of Asset for large institutional clients all across the Globe. Our ETFs are marketed under SPDR brand.
Key responsibilities:
As a member of the this team, the candidate will utilize his/her quantitative skills in developing equity portfolio solutions/models. He /She should be able to work independently with minimal guidance. He /She should have a willingness to code and drive to succeed as quant.
Candidate will be liable to

Independently write model codes in python (to implement models for research)

Onboard/Explore new data

Use quantitative/ML skills to develop desirable models

Build domain knowledge of Quant Investing

Learn equity investing

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a top tier college is a requirement; Computer Science or Information Technology
