Job Description:

Key responsibilities

• To develop a methodology to evaluate fracture toughness failures using digital methods

(Mode I fracture toughness) in composite materials (bonded joints)

• To develop a program to implement the methodology in real part manufacturing

scenarios

• To develop methodology to evaluate FTIR(Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy)

results.

• AI FTIR python code checking/development, as well as literature review around the

subject.

• Explore externally available open source python or R modules.

Key skills and qualifications

• Material Engineering background with aptitude towards machine learning (4th year or

post graduation)

• Literature review
• Python programming
• Basic knowledge of deep learning techniques
• Basic knowledge of composite materials
• Interpersonal skills.
