The American Heart Association’s Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non-profit, voluntary health organization.

- Time Commitment: 29 hours per week
- Remote Position
- Salary: $23.00 per hour
This internship will last approximately 3-6 months.
This internship will focus on supporting the Institute for Precision Cardiovascular Medicine group and is intended to better your knowledge, understanding and experience in Data Science. You will have the opportunity to learn and work with staff from the Institute for Precision Cardiovascular Medicine as well as other departments and volunteers. We will gladly work with your schedule, but we are expecting this person to work approx. 29 hours each week.
Qualifications: Want to help get your resume to the top? We are looking for your expertise in the following areas.
- Currently pursuing a BA/BS or higher in a related field of study.
- Must be knowledgeable in R, python, and a range of data science analysis software.
- Must have the knowledge of statistical analysis
- Self-starter with good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Here are some of the preferred skills we are looking for:
- AHA knowledge.
- Understanding of health equity.
- Prior experience with clinical data.
