Job Purpose
The function of this internship is to take responsibility for the content, stock, and marketing of the online stores. This extends through all systems, uploading and updating product information, uploading promotional banners, and managing landing pages on the websites. The intern would also ensure that samples are supplied appropriately to the photographic studio and returned, images supplied are activated onto the site as the product – with all accurate pricing, stock, description, and promotional information for go-live. The role would support both the marketing and merchandising aspects of the online store.
Job Requirements
Implementing content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
Following the content calendar with the CM according to key messages & products launches
Collaborate with marketing and design agency teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout
Feeding the Artistic direction & brand storytelling by proposing new concepts & formats respecting brand and retailer guidelines
Develops creative for storefront, product page, and other areas of site areas for all .com retail sites – Banners, GIFs, etc.
Set up and ongoing maintenance of product pages and Brand Stores
Increase SEO value of PDPs (titles, descriptions, attributes) via keyword enhancements and brand insights
Writing, editing and proofreading content prior to sharing with the retailers
Manage content across different retailer platforms, including temporary visibility and e-mailers.
Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
Ensure all data and work is legally compliant (e.g. copyright protection) and approved by Brand licenses,
Assist in the implementation of global content management systems tools (DAM, PIMM)
Comprehension of and familiarity with social media
Review, monitor and analyze competitors’ initiatives/activities as they relate to our objectives to inform future digital content and programs and assess areas of opportunity
Engage, and cultivate strong relationships with internal/external partners
Brainstorm with team members to develop new ideas.
Job Profile
Education:
Degree in Digital Marketing, ideally with a focus on E-commerce (merchandising /copywriting) or equivalent
Required experience:
A working understanding of web technology tools an advantage
Experience with online shopping
Knowledge of the social and ecommerce landscape
Graphic Design tools (Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or Canva)
Personal social media experience (FB, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok)
Understanding of Social Media Management Tools desirable
Working in project teams or groups
Technical Skills and Competencies:
Copy writing skills
Attention to detail with an eagle eye for aesthetics
Good planning and organisational skills and follow through
Manages stress and can multitask and support multiple client projects simultaneously
Flexible to change, resilience and agility in a fast-paced environment
Solution orientated, creative problem solving, curious and willingness to think outside the box
Customer centric approach and ability to respond to customer needs
Ability to work independently and in a team, takes initiative and is accountable
Good business acumen and passion for e-commerce
Full proficiency in English language. Confident in both written and spoken communication
Good working knowledge of MS Office including Excel Pivots and VLookUp
Travel 5% of role
