The Co-op Analyst, Global Corporate & Investment Banking is an opportunity to become a critical member of a results-oriented team and a key partner to the Coverage Bankers and their portfolio of corporate clients. This is an attractive role for individuals who have a passion for working as part of a team to deliver a superior client experience to corporate clients.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Partner with Coverage Bankers to identify, plan and deliver strategic financing solutions to clients and prospects
  • Promote MUFG as the “First-call bank in Canada for global solutions.”
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure transactions are executed smoothly and in a timely manner
  • Maintain Know Your Client (KYC) compliance for existing and new clients
  • Assist in the coordination of internal reporting requirements for client base including updating the deal pipeline
  • Keep up to date with selective industry trends for industry verticals covered
  • Provide assistance to the Credit Division team in preparation of credit applications for new clients/facilities.
  • Work with RMs to prepare call reports regularly and ensure revenues are tracked accurately
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the MUFG brand

Experience Required:

  • Understanding of financial statements and Credit Risk
  • Ability to manage competing demands in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly effective written, oral and presentation skills with an ability to grasp and explain complex concepts
  • High level of data integrity, level of attention and attention to detail
  • Strong technical, computational, and analytical skills
  • Willingness to learn and an ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and interest to further the teams’ performance and quality of deliverables

Education Required:

  • Strong academic track-record having completed a minimum of 3 study terms of a Business degree
