We are looking for an intern with an affinity for writing to join our Public Relations team in Rotterdam, starting from September 2024. The team is responsible for communicating OMA’s work and thinking to global audiences.

You will assist the team in preparing press materials, client presentations, lectures and other public events. Additionally, you will be involved in day-to-day tasks such as handling media requests, monitoring press coverage, and maintaining in-house project documentation. This internship offers the opportunity to work closely with the partners leading the company and contribute to OMA’s communication strategy.

Qualifications:

• Students or recent graduates in architecture, journalism, communications, design, or art history
• Good knowledge of OMA’s projects and publications
• Knowledge and interest in the broader socio-economic context of architecture
• Ability to work and communicate well within a team
• Organized, self-directed, and proactive
• Excellent verbal and written English; Dutch is a plus but not mandatory; other languages also a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing press materials, including drafting project texts, press releases, and social media captions
• Assist in researching and preparing lectures, client presentations, interviews and publications
• Assist in organizing events like building openings
• Monitor, compile, and present press coverage
• Answer media requests
• Update content for in-house publications

This internship will be full-time and remunerated with a monthly stipend.
