Internship/Co-Op (Human Resources)

OBAYASHI CORPORATION is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Human Resources Intern to join our team for the summer. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in the field of human resources and contribute to various HR functions within our organization. This position is based in our Foster City, CA office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accurate and confidential information management and storage.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, such as college recruitment.
  • Handle general HR inquiries and provide support to employees as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR reports and presentations.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior HR experience is preferred

Other Requirements and Skills

  • Strong interest in human resources and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duration

Generally, 10-12 weeks between May and September with a flexible start and end date to accommodate academic schedules.

HOURLY PAY RANGES:

  • $22-$26/ HOUR

The expected pay range for this position is $22.00 to $26.00 per hour. Obayashi Corporation provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what it reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
