Job Summary:
As an IT &Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, conducting cyber security testing and rectification, and integrating Qualitrol monitoring solutions IT interfaces into client systems such as SCADA systems for example. Your role is crucial in ensuring the security and efficiency of the IT integration into industrial control systems and maintaining smooth operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supporting our service delivery to our key customer in Singapore and supports the expansion of the Service coverage in Asia. Work with and support the FS Manager APAC and members of our Field service team to handle increased IT requirements over the long term. Follow and maintain procedures to monitor effectiveness of service. Delivers on all its contractual obligations during the performance of services. To use and further develop strategy and tools, including the quality management system for service to be carried out effectively and efficiently. Conduct vulnerability assessments and testing on Qualitrols monitoring solutions. Implement measures and updates to counter newly detected vulnerabilities to protect Qualitrol monitoring solutions and connected client systems from cyber threats.
Provide on-site technical support for Qualitrol monitoring systems and related IT infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Maintain and update system documentation and user manuals.
Report on progress and work status to direct manager and project manager
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent would be advantageous
Specialized training in IT security and integration (e.g., ICS/SCADA Security Essentials would be advantageous).
Experience
Required:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT support roles, with a focus on cyber security.
Proven track record of successful project completions and system integrations
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in cyber security testing tools and techniques.
Knowledge about Cyber Security act CCoP 2.0 (Singapore)
Preferred:
Basic knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial control systems.
Experience with networking protocols and IT security best practices.
Familiarity with automation protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850).
Familiar with Nessus Scan Software
Communication:
Must have good verbal and written communication skills in English to convey detailed commercial and engineering concepts to clients. Must be capable of preparing and reviewing detailed written engineering reports and communicating orally with clients on the engineering concepts of machines and industrial processes. Strong interpersonal skills are required to handle diverse clients. Additional SEA languages are advantageous.

Good manual dexterity is required. Must be capable of entering into an industrial facility/ electrical substation and supporting, supervising, and reviewing other people’s work.
Mental Demands:
Requires great attention to customers’ requirements. Initiative and ingenuity are necessary to be able to give engineering support to customers. Must be capable of learning new processes and have negotiating skills to drive customer satisfaction
Working Conditions:
Primarily onsite setting with longer periods working in a heavy industrial plant or utility environment in Singapore mainly. Occasional exposure to electrical, chemical, radiation, and mechanical hazards. Frequent travel, as required but can be 30-40% in any one month within APAC region.
