The Finance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of an organization. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders. The Finance Supervisor will collaborate with various departments to develop and implement financial strategies, monitor financial performance, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $94,400 - $201,800 (Annual Rate).

Department Description
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- 5-7 years of applicable experience in the field
- 2-5 years’ experience as supervisor and/or team lead
- Thorough knowledge of financial transactions and financial systems.
- Interpersonal skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, ability to multi-task effectively in a high volume environment, organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability using spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business administration
- Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures.
- Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
- Ability to adapt to the fast-paced working environment and resilient to changing priorities, managing staff time and efforts accordingly.
