We are seeking a Principal Business Consultant to lead, shape, and personally contribute to large-scale digital transformation initiatives for global enterprise clients. This role combines strategic advisory responsibilities with hands-on consulting and delivery, ensuring our clients receive both high-level vision and practical execution leadership.
The ideal candidate has previously operated in dual capacities:
- Strategic leader – guiding vision, roadmap, governance, and executive alignment
- Individual contributor – actively participating in analysis, solution definition, and hands-on delivery work with customer teams
This is not a purely managerial position—successful candidates must be capable of personally contributing to customer-facing work while also leading multi-workstream transformation programs.
Locations:
- Remote (Canada / Europe)
- Travel required for client engagements
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Advisory & Transformation Leadership
- Lead enterprise digital transformation programs across CRM (Salesforce), ERP, CPQ, data platforms, and AI.
- Shape business vision, transformation strategy, and multi-year roadmaps in partnership with executive stakeholders.
- Facilitate strategic workshops, operating model discussions, capability assessments, and maturity analyses.
Hands-On Consulting & Individual Contribution
- Directly contribute to customer engagements through process analysis, solution definition, and requirements refinement.
- Provide hands-on support in key workstreams such as CRM strategy, process harmonization, data governance, and adoption planning.
- Work billable client hours as an expert consultant—not only oversight, but active delivery participation.
Program Delivery & Governance
- Lead cross-functional, global transformation teams, ensuring alignment across business, technical, and vendor groups.
- Establish governance frameworks including RAID management, dependency tracking, reporting, and steering committees.
- Partner with enterprise architects, solution leads, and technical SMEs to ensure scalable, future-ready solutions.
Change Management & Organizational Enablement
- Drive change and adoption strategies: communications, stakeholder alignment, persona definition, training strategy, and readiness tracking.
- Ensure measurable business outcomes, KPI definition, and value realization tracking.
Pre-Sales & Practice Development
- Support business development activities, including solution shaping, scoping, estimations, and client presentations.
- Contribute to internal methodology development, thought leadership, and best practices.
Nice to Have:
- Relevant certifications (Project Management, Salesforce, Solution Architecture).
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with AI-enabled solutions and data-driven transformation programs.
Requirements:
Experience & Background
- 10+ years in client-facing consulting, digital transformation leadership, enterprise applications delivery, and/or business operations leadership.
- Proven success operating in both:
- A strategic leadership capacity (program leadership, advisory, executive alignment)
- An individual contributor capacity (billable solution consulting, requirements, hands-on analysis)
Technology & Domain Skills
- Strong experience leading CRM transformations (Salesforce preferred).
- ERP exposure (SAP, Oracle) is a significant advantage.
- Experience with CPQ, data platforms, marketing automation, or AI-driven solutions is strongly preferred.
Program & Change Leadership
- Demonstrated ability to run complex, multi-workstream programs with global teams.
- Solid grounding in change management practices (e.g., ADKAR or similar).
- Experience with integrations, data migration, MDM, and enterprise APIs.
Industry Experience
- Consulting background strongly preferred (Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, or similar).
- Manufacturing or Consumer Goods experience is a strong plus.
Soft Skills & Tools
- Excellent stakeholder management, including executive-level communication.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, influence decision-making, and drive outcomes under pressure.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project, PowerPoint, Lucid, and similar.
