Job (Project) Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and customer-oriented Finance Functional Expert (SAP FI-CO) to expand our consulting team for the Financial Period Closing automation project with Redwood. In this role, you will work closely with US-based clients, serving as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
You will bring deep expertise in SAP Finance (FI-CO), with a strong focus on month-end and year-end closing processes, financial close optimization, and integrated finance solutions. You will play a key role in ERP transformation initiatives, including process optimization and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
The ideal candidate is a proactive consultant with strong analytical and communication skills, extensive client-facing experience, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality finance solutions in complex environments.

Requirements:
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience as an SAP FI-CO Consultant or Finance Business Analyst in customer-facing roles;
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP (ECC and/or S/4HANA) as a functional finance consultant;
- Strong, hands-on expertise in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting within SAP;
- Solid understanding of end-to-end finance processes and their integration with other SAP modules;
- Experience with financial close solutions such as BlackLine Financial Close Management, Record-to-report Automation by Redwood (SAP Financial Closing or Financial Automation), or SAP Advanced Financial Close (AFC) - will be a huge advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in ERP implementations, digital transformation initiatives, or enterprise software delivery;
- Working knowledge of software implementation methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum;
Functional & Technical Skills
- Strong capability to configure SAP FI-CO or provide detailed functional guidance for configuration and implementation;
- Proven ability to create high-quality functional specifications, process documentation, and solution designs;
- Strong understanding of business cases, customer objectives, and value-driven process optimization;
- Ability to effectively support automation and RPA initiatives from a functional finance perspective;
Soft Skills & Attributes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is mandatory.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead discussions and influence outcomes;
- Highly organized, self-driven, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively;
- High level of cultural awareness and professionalism when working in international, client-facing environments;
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in fast-paced consulting engagements;
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively for on-site client work in the United States;
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted finance partner for US-based clients, understanding their financial objectives, challenges, and end-to-end business processes;
- Analyze, design, and document end-to-end finance solutions, translating business requirements into detailed functional and conceptual designs (process flows, business rules, decision points, and escalation paths);
- Provide deep functional expertise in SAP FI-CO, with a strong emphasis on month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations, and financial controls;
- Configure SAP FI-CO modules or provide expert guidance to configuration and development teams to ensure solutions align with business requirements;
- Advise on and support integrated financial closing scenarios, leveraging tools such as SAP Financial Closing (Redwood) and third-party close solutions (the initial Redwood training and certification program could be provided for the candidate);
- Lead and facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and design presentations with client stakeholders;
- Collaborate with RPA and automation teams to identify, assess, and optimize finance processes suitable for automation, including understanding and articulating the business case;
- Work within Agile / Scrum or similar delivery methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and project deliverables;
- Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, ensuring high-quality delivery within tight timelines.
