Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Multiskilled Facilities Technician to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and upkeep of facilities and utilities within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.

This role is ideal for a candidate who has recently completed a relevant technical qualification or has 1–2 years of practical experience in facilities, maintenance, or industrial environments. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of senior technicians and engineers, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a highly regulated setting.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and building services systems.

Support upkeep of facilities equipment such as HVAC systems, pumps, motors, lighting, and general utilities.

Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks as per site schedules and procedures.

Respond to facilities-related requests and assist with corrective maintenance activities.

Support contractors and service providers during on-site works, always following site safety rules.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation in line with GMP and site requirements.

Follow all Health & Safety, GMP, and Environmental procedures at all times.

Participate in training, toolbox talks, and site inductions as required.

Escalate technical issues to senior technicians or engineers when necessary.

Key Requirements

Relevant technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Building Services, or Facilities Maintenance (FETAC / QQI Level 5 or 6, or equivalent).

Recently qualified candidates or those with 1–2 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or industrial environments are encouraged to apply.

Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems within industrial or commercial buildings.

Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills in a GMP-regulated environment. Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and instructions.

Basic IT skills and ability to complete maintenance records and reports. Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Desirable (Not Essential)

Exposure to pharmaceutical, life sciences, food, or other regulated environments.

Awareness of GMP, EHS, or quality systems.

Safe Pass, Manual Handling, or other site safety certifications.
