Kennel Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of animals in our care while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management.
• Handle heavy lifting tasks related to moving supplies and equipment.
• Support adopters with information regarding pet care practices.
• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in animal care or related fields such as veterinary assistance or pet grooming is preferred.​
• Strong skills in dog handling and an understanding of various breeds' behaviors.​
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for the role.​
• A background in dog training or pet sitting is a plus.​
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet adopters and team members.​

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
