Job Overview
Blanchou Baby and Kids is a premium European multi brand children’s clothing store where Canadian families can find curated organic/sunstainable products for their adorable baby and children. We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Full/Part time Keyholder/Sales Associate to join our team In the new opening location in Oakville.

This role is vital in ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers while supporting daily store operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication abilities, and a passion for retail sales and customer service. As a key team member, you will assist in merchandising, managing POS systems, and upselling products to meet sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate retail staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, demonstrations, and technical sales to enhance their shopping experience
  • Manage daily store operations including cashiering, cash handling, and POS transactions with accuracy
  • Conduct product demos and educate customers on features and benefits of various items
  • Oversee merchandising efforts to ensure attractive displays and proper stock levels
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly
  • Support inventory management, stock replenishment, and organization of the sales floor
  • Uphold store policies, maintain cleanliness, and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Utilize strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers in multiple languages if applicable
  • Assist in training new staff members on sales techniques, product knowledge, and organizational procedures

Experience

  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
  • Bilingual abilities (English plus another language) are highly desirable for serving a diverse clientele
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal interactions
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, POS transactions, and sales calculations
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell products and increase sales through effective merchandising and customer engagement
  • Experience with retail merchandising, POS systems, and cashiering is advantageous
